💗 Bringing Hope & Healing to Nebraska Cancer Survivors

Some of you know my story — this past year, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. My world stopped for a moment… but faith, community, and sheer determination pulled me forward. Surgery was on my birthday, September 29 — a day I’ll never forget — and by God’s grace, I’m healing beautifully.

During my recovery, I was connected with an incredible woman named Christine G. Anastos, the founder of Connect & Thrive (CAT) — and I’m so grateful our paths crossed. Christine is not only a survivor herself, but a true beacon of hope for cancer patients everywhere.

She created The KittyFund™, a program designed to help individuals facing cancer access integrative, evidence-based therapies and healthy living products that insurance doesn’t cover — things like trauma recovery, healing touch, nutrition support, energy therapies, and holistic tools that make all the difference after treatment.

Through CAT’s Marketplace, cancer patients can find discounted services and resources to help them heal physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Christine’s mission is to make sure no one walks this road alone, especially after the hospital visits end and real healing begins.

That mission touched my heart deeply. Because I know firsthand — once the surgery is done, and the chemo or radiation ends — that’s when the quiet moments begin. That’s when you start to process the trauma, the fear, and the gratitude all at once. That’s when you need support the most.

The only reason my story isn’t worse is because I caught it early — that’s divine intervention and proof that awareness saves lives.
